Chrysler 300 Indicator Lights

The everyday lights that turn on while you're driving are indicator lights. These signify basic functions like a turn signal or headlights. If an indicator light isn't turning off despite the function not being activated, talk to our service team.

Here are some indicator lights you may come across:

High Beams. This light is shaped like the letter D. It will turn on when the high beams are on and has horizontal lines coming off the left side. Always make sure the high beams are turned off as other cars approach the Chrysler 300 at night.

Adaptive Cruise Control. This light looks like a car with radar lines in front of it and will be on when the Adaptive Cruise Control setting is turned on, but not in use. Check your owner's manual for further info.

Turn Signal. When the left or right turn signal is on, the indicator will flash and the exterior signal lamps will flash, too. If you drive more than one mile with either turn signal on, a chime will sound to let you know.

Chrysler 300 Warning Lights

Warning lights will come on with an audible chime if needed. Check your owner's manual for more information about the lights. In general, a yellow light is telling you there's an issue that must be checked out soon, while a red light indicates an urgent issue that needs immediate attention.

Here are some of the warning lights:

Brake System. This light tracks different brake functions. If the light is on while driving, check to make sure the brake light isn't activated. If it's not, it could mean brake fluid levels are low or there's an issue with the anti-lock brake system. If the light is on, have the system checked immediately.

Battery Charge. When the battery isn't charging properly, this light will turn on. There may be an issue with the charging system. It might also mean there are electrical system concerns.

Oil Temperature. When the engine oil temperature is running high, this light will turn on. When it turns on as the car is moving, stop the car, and shut the engine down. Wait for oil temperature to return to normal levels.
