2019 Cherokee Performance

The base edition of the Jeep Cherokee is equipped with a powerful 2.4L 180-horsepower engine capable of taking on city streets and maneuvering the highways. It can also tow up to 2,000 pounds if you're looking to bring a motorcycle or other item with you for a weekend trip. The strength of the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine can't be underestimated as it provides 270 horsepower and solid fuel economy numbers. It receives an EPA-estimated 23 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway.

If you're looking for the most power, a 3.2L V6 engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission is available, which can tow up to 4,500 pounds, about the weight of small watercraft.

Of course, there's the off-road capability you've to expect from the Jeep brand. There are five different driving modes in the Jeep Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System, which can handle surface from snow to sand to rock. Even when you're off the pavement, the Jeep Cherokee can handle the road ahead.

It can be controlled from the steering wheel as you use the navigation features and vehicle data to reach your final destination.
