Guide to Missouri Botanical Garden Orchid Show

While outside, the St. Louis weather might send a deep shiver down your spine, but inside the Missouri Botanical Garden there awaits a tropical oasis for you to see and enjoy.

Starting on February 2^nd and lasting until March 24^th, escape to a world where lush fields of orchids bloom and long tropical vines and palms create a living canopy for you to beat the mid-Winter chill.

2019 Orchid Show Details

Nestled between Tower Grove Park to the South and St. Louis' popular Shaw neighborhood to the East, MBG is the nation's oldest botanical gardens and home to the largest collection of endangered orchids and rare flora from around the world.

Spanning a total of 79 acres, visitors are welcome to explore the beautifully-manicured grounds before stepping inside the Orthwein Floral Display Hall for an experience like no other in the US. Containing over 6,500 individual orchid plants including hundreds of unique taxa, the annual Garden Orchid Show is one of the grandest exhibits on the organization's calendar and attracts visitors from all over the world.

Special Orchid Nights

Those looking for a new date night idea or fun evening spent with friends will want to take advantage of MBG's special viewing events. Held on February 14^th and 24^th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, stroll their lighted orchid displays while sipping on a nice glass of wine or a cocktail. Each ticket includes a complimentary drink along with full access to their bar, small bites tables, and live music performed inside their gorgeous display hall.
