Jeep Grand Cherokee L Trims: What They Have in Common

Before detailing their differences, let's go over some of the similarities between the trims.

There are a total of six trim levels associated with the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L: the Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve.

Each trim has the option of a 4x4 drivetrain-the Summit Reserve is only available in 4x4-meaning, their engines consistently deliver its energy to all four wheels. This improves control and handling during hazardous road conditions like snow, mud, or sand.

The models are all built with the same 3.6L V6 engine that packs in some serious power. Drivers of any trim can expect a 290 horsepower and 257 lb-ft of torque. This type of energy will come in handy when towing equipment. When properly equipped, all of the trims have a maximum towing capacity of 6,200 pounds.

Laredo

As the introductory trim, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L Laredo gives drivers just a hint of the model's capabilities. On the outside, the trim has 18-inch aluminum wheel and standard roof rails. Behind its LED headlights is the classic Jeep seven-slot grille.
