Those two base trims carry the proven 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 293 horsepower, and no trim asks you to choose between engines.

Either way, the Grand Cherokee tows a best-in-class 6,200 pounds when properly equipped, and three 4x4 systems, from Quadra-Trac I to Quadra-Drive II with a rear electronic limited-slip differential, cover everything a Missouri winter or an Ozark trail can serve up.

Every 2027 Grand Cherokee now carries a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and the base screens grew this year: Laredo and Laredo X step up to a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, while Laredo Altitude and above run the 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 NAV display. A class-exclusive 10.25-inch front-passenger interactive screen is available.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are on board, the Limited adds a wireless charging pad for 2027, and audio scales all the way to the Summit's available-nowhere-else 19-speaker McIntosh system with up to 950 watts.

Every 2027 Grand Cherokee includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Active Lane Management, blind spot monitoring with rear cross path detection, and rear park assist with the ParkView backup camera.

Trims with the Hurricane 4, meaning Laredo Altitude and above, add Active Driving Assist, which pairs adaptive cruise control with lane centering for the highway. A hands-free version of Active Driving Assist, a 360-degree surround view camera, and night vision with pedestrian and animal detection are available as you climb the range.

The 2027 walk spans ten trims, and the new faces stand out: the Laredo Upland wears Trailhawk-inspired wheels, all-terrain tires, and Vapor Gray tow hooks; the returning Trailhawk rides on 30.5-inch Goodyear all-terrains with six skid plates and a best-in-class 11.4 inches of ground clearance at full lift; and the Overland pairs 21-inch machined wheels with bright tow hooks.

New colors join for 2027 too, including High Gloss Black and Sting Gray, with more arriving later in the year.
