Twin turbochargers feed the 3.0L Hurricane inline-six under every 2027 Grand Wagoneer hood. Output is 420 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 468 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm. Every trim pairs the engine with an 8-speed automatic. Day to day, that torque keeps highway passing unhurried. At the pump, the Hurricane runs on 87-octane regular unleaded. The standard-wheelbase 4x4 is EPA-estimated at 17 mpg city, 21 highway and 18 combined.

Maximum towing is up to 10,000 lb when properly equipped. It takes either the Upland or a standard-wheelbase 4x4 carrying the Heavy-Duty Trailer-Tow Package. Both setups add a two-speed transfer case with 4x4 Low, backed by an electronic limited-slip rear differential. Overland and Summit models carry standard Quadra-Lift air suspension. Lake of the Ozarks boat owners should start with the Upland or the tow package.

A 12.0-inch touchscreen sits at the center of every 2027 Grand Wagoneer dash, running Uconnect 5 Nav. A compatible phone links to it without a cable through wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Limited, Limited Altitude, Upland and the Grand Wagoneer trim come with a 10.25-inch digital cluster. For Overland and Summit drivers, the cluster grows and a head-up display joins it.

The same four trims carry Alpine audio with nine speakers and a subwoofer. McIntosh takes over on the Overland, Summit and Summit Obsidian, with a 19-speaker, 950-watt MX950. Summit Reserve steps up again to McIntosh MX1375 Reference audio, with 23 speakers and 1,375 watts. The Summit Reserve front passenger also gets a 10.25-inch interactive screen. Overland, both Limited versions and every Summit can add Rear-Seat Entertainment with Amazon Fire TV Built-In.

Active Driving Assist is part of the standard kit on every 2027 Grand Wagoneer. Its lane-centering function makes up half the system; Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go is the rest, so in slow traffic it keeps pace with the car ahead at the gap you set. Hands stay on the wheel and eyes stay on the road. Standard aids also include Blind-Spot and Rear Cross-Path Detection, Pedestrian Emergency Braking and Drowsy Driver Detection.

ParkSense park assist covers both bumpers on every Grand Wagoneer. The Upland, Overland and Summit models include a 360 Surround-View Camera, and Overland and Summit models add Park Assist for slotting into parallel or perpendicular spaces. Both features are available in option groups for the Grand Wagoneer trim, Limited and Limited Altitude. An available FamCam, standard on Summit models, shows the rear seats on screen. All three rows get side-curtain airbags.

Seating for seven is standard in any 2027 Grand Wagoneer. The second-row captain's chairs tilt and slide under power. Below the Summit Reserve, a three-person bench can stand in for them, seating eight. Second-row riders get 42.7 inches of legroom. Legroom in row three is 36.6 inches in either wheelbase. Fold nothing and the cargo bay still offers 27.9 cubic feet on the standard wheelbase; the long-wheelbase L raises that to 42.6.

Grand Wagoneer and Upland seats are Capri leather-trimmed. Limited and Limited Altitude seats use Nappa leather. The Overland gets bucket seats trimmed in embossed leather. Premium Nappa trims the Summit and Summit Obsidian seats. Palermo leather is reserved for the Summit Reserve. Heat for the steering wheel and front seats, plus front-seat ventilation, comes on all eight trims. Summit models build on that with four-zone climate control and front seats that pair massage with 20-way power.
