Next-Gen Dodge Charger Horsepower and Engine Options
The next-generation Dodge Charger boasts an unrelenting lineup of engine options set to deliver more power and thrills. Staying true to its legacy of performance, the all-new Dodge Charger gets a new twin-turbo inline-six to replace the outgoing model’s HEMI V8 engine, and all gasoline-powered models come standard with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Available mid-2025, a multi-energy gas lineup introduces the SIXPACK High Output 550 Horsepower two-door model and SIXPACK Standard Output 420 Horsepower four-door model.
As the world’s most powerful muscle car, the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack delivers peak power and performance with an impressive combined 670 hp and all-wheel drive, and there’s a 496-hp R/T variant available as well. The Charger Daytona Scat Pack features twin 335-hp electric motors with one driving the front wheels and one driving the rear wheels to produce a combined 670 hp and an estimated 627 lb-ft of instant torque. At the rear motor, a mechanical limited slip differential minimizes slipping during high powered all-wheel drive launch moments. Designed to achieve optimal performance, the Charger Daytona 100.5 kWh high-voltage battery is lithium-ion based and features a high energy density nickel cobalt aluminum chemistry that is packaged into prismatic cell structures and distributed across 13 in-series modules. As a result, it delivers an initial peak of 550 kW of power while sustaining over 500 kW of power to the electric motors for a full 1/4 mile.
